Happy new years everyone. Reply with your own personal new years resolution, I'll start with mine. My new years resolution is to be 100% sober all year round in 2021(I've struggled with drugs these past few years for context)

I have quite a few resolutions for this year. I figured I could get a few at least. My first is to treat my pet and family even better than the previous year. That will make me a kinder person because I am usually my worse to my family (not my pet thankfully). I think I can get away with being nasty to them. I can't take them for grant forever. My second resolution is to get more /fit/. I've already started on that last year but I need to continue my momentum. My third is to post here more often. Altchans are fighting tooth and nail over people and I may as well be a good person for the site. My fourth resolution is to save some money so I can have funds to spends some money on some cool stuff. Another resolution is to complete the video game I purchase. My last resolution is to not get the retard juice from Dr Fauci.

I've got a few resolutions
>Keep my house clean and not fall into a hoarding, depressive fit again
>Be kinder to my family
>Post more often on 22chan rather than other sites
>Go outdoors again more - ex. plan camping trips and hikes
>Get back into my old hobbies
This year was lost in a dream for me. I had made a lot of progress last year but it was halted or completely overturned this year due to my own weakness. I'm going to try to do better and keep improving, as well as be more involved with other people/this community so I don't go back to my old ways.
I wish everyone luck in completing their goals! Have a comfy winter background to inspire you.

>This year was lost in a dream for me
Yeah, for me all the holidays and benchmarks snuck up on me. I could blame that on getting older but the schedule felt disoriented.
>I'm going to try to do better and keep improving
I hope I am able to accomplish that because I want to stay interesting at least for myself.
>100% sober all year round in 2021
How did you do in 2020?

 No.2248[D][DF]

Restart my site. Work on my projects. Lose weight.
To be fair these aren't exactly "New Years' Resolutions" since I wanted to do them beforehand and was working on them in 2020

Have you made any progress in 2020 weight wise?

check'd
I guess I have a few ones, mostly; read more books, more exercise, go on noporn/nofap, learn Gaeilge and learn more about computers and coding in general. Good with your resolutions anons

I don't remember any resolution from last year, and I'm sure I've failed them all anyway
So yeah I won't be doing any this year really

I didn't do too well in terms of Sobriety in 2020, I often had streaks that were eventually ruined, but I have been sober for well over 100 days, usually after that I started counting in years. Had to rewrite this one as I'm stupid and got the captcha wrong.

Mostly fitness related.

 No.2254[D][DF]

I've got a couple of resolutions this year.
1. Lose weight (again). I had lost like 40 lbs a several years ago, but have gained it back over the past couple.
2. NoFap. I'm going to take it seriously this year. I've been saying this for the past couple of years, but I'm going to do it this year.
3. I will also try to be less anti-social and make some friends, and possibly get a gf. (this will be the most difficult resolution here)

>FuckYou is my captcha

No fuck YOU.
>and then it expired

>but I have been sober for well over 100 days, usually after that I started counting in years.
Do you have anything to remind yourself about why you should stay sober?
>I had lost like 40 lbs
I am currently in the process of losing weight. I've lost 50 lbs so far and I would like to lose 20 more if I do not gain muscles lol.
>have gained it back over the past couple.
What happened?

I was asked by my parents about the resolution a couple of hours after this. I really didn't want to tell them about the one involving them it was awkward. I told them about getting more /fit/ and they said I did a good job in 2020.

Attempting the same thing the same way you already did before will yield the same results. You have to either develop new tactics or be aware that you're setting yourself up for failure

 No.2258[D][DF]

>>2257
I think you can accomplish the same goal as long as you have different strategies and a consistent source of motivation. Although you're right, most people get stuck in a loop of failure over the same goal because they think "this time will be different." It's better to see it as a new approach to success, instead of trying to do it again.

 No.2259[D][DF]

>>2257
>develop new tactics
Maybe we should have a thread to talk more about self improvement because it is a long and repetitive process that requires constant effort and thought.

 No.2404[D][DF]

How is everyone doing on their New Years' resolutions? If you have failed so far do you want to keep trying? I need to think about how things are going with me, but I will try to update you anons.

>go on noporn/nofap
That is difficult if you do not have a strategy. One approach is to have a punishment if you fail. You could either not watch or play whatever you wanted to do that day or, you could donate money to Twoot. The second option is a good thing to do no matter your circumstances, but when you lose some money you notice. Another option is when you have the feeling where you want to indulge in your vice, you could exercise until you get your urges under control.
