I'm genuinely curious if there are any oldfags from 4chan that have migrated over here. I'm new to 22chan and was new in 4chan (entered in 2017 shamefully). I did some lurking and research about the old days of 4chan but I still don't have an entire concept of how it was like in person. Perhaps I wanted to experience it in the past is all. I'm genuinely curious to know how it really was like.

I found 4chan back in 2014.

 No.3686[D]

I mean, it wasn't the best. But moot was still there, and i participated in the great HWNDU raid. I quit when i learned hiro-whatever the hell his name is got control of 4cuck. It basicly turned into anonymous facebook. I had a fun time while it lasted, and i found 22chan while reading an encyclopedia dramatica article back in april.

You rolled the number 762404645 (no dubs or higher)

 No.3687[D]

If anyone in intrested in seeing or learning about old 4chan, i'll post links for a ton of great archives and alt wikis. Also i know a youtube channel that has a ton of imageboard music from back in the day.

I was in the STINGRAYS '06 Harbl hotel raid and '07 raid and I think I broke rules 1 & 2 several times until I got LOLTOAST's Raid Tool, also I remember the shit with 7chan and Hal Turner and when eBaumsworld raided that epilepsy forum.

 No.3696[D]

Nope. Just an old 4chaner. Has a lot of music, and some old remastered flash animations.

OP here, came to say thanks for replying and offering some insight about how the site was like.
>>3653
Aside from how it used to be gay, would you say it was better than its current state?
>>3688
>>3686
Both your experiences appear interesting, I don't have much to contribute or much to say about it except that I'd imagine being part of the Habbo Hotel Raids in 2006 must've been quite an experience. HWNDU is pretty recent so I know some information about the event. Hope you guys had your fun.

>absolute kusosure
I can't tell if you're saying that the site was a shitpost in the past or if my post is just shit. Tried to translate.

OP here again, let me try and keep a discussion going by posing a question. Why do you think 4chan WAS great in terms of it's difference from other websites like Tumblr and Reddit, aside from Freedom of Speech and anonymity?

 No.3724[D]

>>3721
Pretty sure we established 4chan was never "great." Also Tumblr and Reddit weren't around yet during the early days of 4chan. They don't have anything to do with anything.

 No.3734[D]

>>3724
Ah, I understand. I'm still a bit out of touch of what the site used to be, will look more into its past though.
