For me "best girl" is simply how emotionally attached to the character you are, along with how much you like them as a whole. While there is much more to it than that, it is the simplest explanation I can give.

I would like to watch anime with more direct translation. What I mean by this is, word for word, there exact meaning (or closest approximation). With the exact same sentence structure as it is in Japanese. I believe this may help capture the original meaning of the dialog while also helping those trying to learn Japanese.

Do anime like this already exist?
Do you think this would be a good idea?

tldr; I'd like to see a more direct translation over localization.

I do think it's a great idea. It can greatly improve the story of whatever anime/ manga. Stuff that gets seen and understood by the japs and flies over americans heads can be understood by both. Somtimes powerful words in japanese can be muddled down in regular english translations.

(Tell me what you find) While exploring, I found a folder titled "anime.stuff" ( https://ftp.sunet.se/mirror/archive/ftp.sunet.se/pub/tv+movies/anime-manga/anime.stuff/ ). It contains a PDF file. The front page says "Japanese Anime Comments & Reviews by Fans for Fans!". I want to read more but I couldn't find out how to view or extract these ".gz" files. Does any1 know about anime.stuff source. All I could find from a DuckDuckGo (or Goolag) search is "animestuffstore" which I doubt is what I'm looking for.

I just finished Perfect Blue, it's the kind of movie that you decide to just check out and watch 10 or 15 minuts of it but end up sitting through it all with no care to anything else, it was truly an intense experience.

I recently just completed watching Welcome to The N.H.K. What a ride it was. It is an fairly accurate portrayal of a hikikomori lifestyle and the psychological dilemmas that come with it. The show would get quite dark at times which I was intrigued by just because the sheer fucked-up nature of what the MC, Sato deals with makes him relatable given how my life as it is isn't going all to well due to my own apathy. Though it doesn't turn into a bawww fest ripe with self-pity as there are some well placed comedic breaks that cause the characters to feel more believable than just ones that are made to make you feel better about yourself by being absolutely incompetent. I would recommend this as it is from 2006 so it has a nostalgic sense to it as well if you went on imageboards back then. Personally it made reflect on what the fuck I am doing with life, it does it's job well.
